٩ - تحث أيضا الدول القائمة باﻹدارة على أن تتخذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لحماية وحفظ البيئة في اﻷقاليم الواقعة تحت إدارتها من أي تدهور بيئي، وتطلب الى الوكالات المتخصصة المعنية أن تواصل رصد اﻷحوال البيئية في تلك اﻷقاليم؛

We would therefore urge other administering Powers to cooperate fully with the Special Committee to develop a programme of work for each of the Territories.

The annual reports of the Territories also include information on constitutional matters, as appropriate.

40. As indicated in the relevant chapters, France, the United Kingdom and the United States, as administering Powers, had not participated in the Committee's proceedings in respect of the Territories under their administration during the current year.
٤٠ - وقال إن المملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة وفرنسا، بوصفها دولا قائمة بالادارة، كما ذكر في الفصول ذات الصلة، لم تشترك في هذا العام في نظر اللجنة في مسألة اﻷقاليم الواقعة تحت إدارتها.

1. Reaffirms the inalienable right of the peoples of the Territories to self-determination, including, if they so wish, independence, in conformity with the Charter of the United Nations and with General Assembly resolution 1514 (XV), containing the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples;
١ - تؤكد من جديد ما لشعوب تلك اﻷقاليم من حق غير قابل للتصرف في تقرير المصير، بما فيه الاستقلال، إذا رغبت في نيله، طبقا لميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة ولقرار الجمعية العامة ١٥١٤ )د - ١٥(، المتضمن إعلان منح الاستقلال للبلدان والشعوب المستعمرة؛

Many of the Territories covered under this concept have gained independence, but there are still 18 Territories whose status has not changed.
