Ms. LOPEZ (Philippines), introducing draft resolution A/C.3/50/L.21 on behalf of the States Members of the United Nations that were members of the Group of 77, said that the draft resolution was an update of General Assembly resolution 49/160, dated 23 December 1994, on the proposed merger of INSTRAW and UNIFEM.
