IV. With regard to the Commission's decision on the demarcation of the offshore boundary in the Khawr Abdullah and its endorsement by the Council in resolution 833 (1993), I should like to draw attention to a number of blatant facts that indicate the great defectiveness characterizing the work of the Commission.
رابعا - بالنسبة الى قرار اللجنة حول ترسيم الحدود البحرية في خور عبد الله واعتمادها من قِبَل المجلس في قراره رقم ٨٣٣ )١٩٩٣( أود أن أشير الى جملة من الحقائق الصارخة التي تجسد الخلل الكبير الذي اتصفت به أعمال اللجنة:

In fact, we find that the Security Council hastened to adopt resolution 773 (1992) on 26 August 1992, stating, in paragraph 3, that it welcomed the decision of the Commission to consider the eastern section of the boundary, which included the offshore boundary, and urging the Commission to demarcate that part of the boundary as soon as possible and thus complete its work.
وبالفعل نجد أن مجلس اﻷمن يسارع في اعتماد قراره ٧٧٣ )١٩٩٢( في ٢٦ آب/أغسطس ١٩٩٢ ولينص في فقرة منطوقه الثالثة على الترحيب بقرار اللجنة في أن تنظر في الجزء الشرقي من الحدود، الذي يشمل الحدود البحرية وعلى حث اللجنة على أن تخطط هذا الجزء من الحدود في أقرب وقت مستطاع فتكمل بذلك عملها.

70. The Commission must be mindful of existing or potential offshore boundary disputes between opposite or adjacent coastal States and the proviso in article 76 (10) of the Convention, which states that " [t]he provisions of this article are without prejudice to the question of delimitation of the continental shelf between States with opposite or adjacent coasts " .
