The designations of the different categories of olive oils and olive-pomace oils are given below with the definition corresponding to each designation:

Virgin olive oils shall be classified and designated as follows:

1. The definitions of the following different categories of olive oils and olive-pomace oils are described in Annex B:

The Members undertake to adopt all the appropriate measures to facilitate trade, encourage consumption of olive oils and table olives and ensure the proper development of the international trade in these products.
يلتزم الأعضاء باتخاذ كافة التدابير المناسبة التي تستهدف تسهيل التجارة وتشجيع استهلاك زيوت الزيتون وزيتون المائدة وضمان التنمية الملائمة للتجارة الدولية في هذه المنتجات.

- To foster the coordination of production, industrialization, storage and marketing policies for olive oils, olive-pomace oils and table olives;
- تعزيز تنسيق سياسات إنتاج وتصنيع وتخزين وتسويق زيوت الزيتون وزيوت ثفل الزيتون، وزيتون المائدة؛

2. Those activities shall take the form of educational and information campaigns and shall deal with the organoleptic and chemical characteristics of olive oils and table olives, as well as with their nutritional, therapeutic and other properties.
2- تتخذ تلك الأنشطة صورة حملات تثقيفية وإعلامية، وتتناول الخصائص العضوية والكيميائية لزيوت الزيتون وزيتون المائدة، وكذا خواصها الغذائية والعلاجية وما عداها.
