The new candidate had been endorsed by the Group of African States. If he heard no objection, he would take it that the Committee wished to recommend to the General Assembly the appointment of the new candidate from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mr. Victor Yenyi Olungu, to the United Nations Administrative Tribunal for a three-year term beginning on 1 January 1998.
وقال إن مجموعة الدول اﻷفريقية تؤيد المرشح الجديد، وإنه إن لم يسمع اعتراضا فسيعتبر أن اللجنة ترغب في توصية الجمعية العامة بتعيين المرشح الجديد من جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، السيد فيكتور يني أولونغو في المحكمة اﻹدارية لﻷمم المتحدة لفترة ثلاث سنوات تبدأ في ١ كانون الثاني/يناير ٨٩٩١.

The Committee decided, by acclamation, to recommend that the General Assembly appoint Mr. Victor Yenyi Olungu (Demo-cratic Republic of the Congo) to the Administrative Tribunal for a three-year term of office beginning 1 January 1998.
وقررت اللجنة، بالتزكية، أن توصي الجمعية العامة بتعيين السيد فيكتور ينيي أولونغو )جمهورية الكونغــو الديمقراطية( في عضوية المحكمة اﻹدارية لمدة ثــلاث سنــوات ابتداء من ١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨.

The representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo announced that Mr. Yenyi Olungu (Democratic Republic of the Congo) had decided to withdraw his name from the list of candidates.
وأعلن ممثل جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية أن السيد يني أولونغو (جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية) قد قرر سحب اسمه من قائمة المرشحين.

The Fifth Committee decided, by acclamation, to recommend to the General Assembly that it should appoint Mr. Chittharanjan Felix Amerasinghe (Sri Lanka), Mr. Victor Yenyi Olungu (Democratic Republic of the Congo) and Mr. Hubert Thierry (France) as members of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 1998.

The General Assembly, as recommended by the Fifth Committee in paragraph 6 of its report (A/52/674/Rev.1), ap-pointed the following persons as members of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 1998: Mr. Chittharanjan Felix Amerasinghe, Mr. Victor Yenyi Olungu and Mr. Hubert Thierry.
