1- يعرب عن عميق تقديره للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة لدعوتها إلى اجتماع رفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة بشأن " التصدي للتصحر وتدهور الأراضي والجفاف في سياق التنمية المستدامة والقضاء على الفقر " ولعقدها هذا الاجتماع في دورتها السادسة والستين يوم 20 أيلول/سبتمبر 2011؛

2. Takes note of the summary of the High-level Meeting of the General Assembly on " Addressing desertification, land degradation and drought in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication " presented by the President of the General Assembly at this Conference of the Parties;
2- يحيط علماً بملخص الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة بشأن " التصدي للتصحر وتدهور الأراضي والجفاف في سياق التنمية المستدامة والقضاء على الفقر " الذي قدمه رئيس الجمعية العامة أثناء مؤتمر الأطراف هذا؛

7. Decides to include in the agenda of the Conference of the Parties at its eleventh session an agenda item entitled: " Follow up to the High-level Meeting of the General Assembly on `Addressing desertification, land degradation and drought in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication'and the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development " ;
7- يقرر أن يُدرج في جدول أعمال الدورة الحادية عشرة لمؤتمر الأطراف بنداً معنوناً " متابعة الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة بشأن التصدي للتصحر وتدهور الأراضي والجفاف في سياق التنمية المستدامة والقضاء على الفقر ومؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة " ؛
