The Assembly also encouraged the use of innovative procedures by the Committee for reviewing the implementation of the Convention in States whose reports were seriously overdue and the formulating of concluding observations on reports of States parties to the Convention.

Ms. Abaka noted that her activities in Sweden made it clear that the Committee should consider developing a mechanism for following up its concluding comments on reports of States parties.

375. The Committee decided that a standard paragraph requesting information on the implementation of aspects of outcomes of United Nations conferences, summits and special sessions of review should be included in its concluding comments on reports of States parties, as follows:
375 - وقررت اللجنة أن تعليقاتها الختامية على تقارير الدول الأطراف ينبغي أن تتضمن فقرة موحدة الصيغة تطلب فيها معلومات عن تنفيذ جوانب لنتائج المؤتمرات واجتماعات القمة ودورات الاستعراض الاستثنائية التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة، وذلك كما يلي:

Noting that the Committee on the Rights of the Child attaches particular importance to the question of the administration of juvenile justice and that it includes in its conclusions on reports of States parties concrete recommendations concerning the provision of advisory services and technical cooperation in this field,
وإذ تلاحظ أن لجنة حقوق الطفل تولي أهمية خاصة لمسألة إقامة العدل لﻷحداث وأنها تضمﱢن استنتاجاتها بشأن تقارير الدول اﻷطراف توصيات محددة تتعلق بتوفير الخدمات الاستشارية والتعاون التقني في هذا الميدان،

Mr. POCAR agreed that more weight could be given to the Committee's recommendations on reports of States parties, even though the practice had been followed for only a few years.

72. In May 2003, the Committee developed a procedure to provide for follow-up subsequent to the adoption of the concluding observations on reports of States parties under article 19 of the Convention.
