On modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity of the financial mechanism, it was agreed that:
٩٨- وفيما يتعلق بطرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان تشغيل اﻵلية المالية، اتُفق على اﻵتي:

- Make recommendations related to the arrangements for the operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities;
- ابداء التوصيات المتصلة بترتيبات الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف والكيان أو الكيانات التي يُعهد إليها بالتشغيل؛

(d) Modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism;
)د( طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات تشغيل اﻵلية المالية.

Also invites the GEF to take note of the following conclusions reached by the Committee with respect to the modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity of the financial mechanism:
٢- تدعو أيضاً مرفق البيئة العالمية إلى اﻹحاطة علماً بالاستنتاجات التالية التي توصلت إليها اللجنة فيما يتعلق بطرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان تشغيل اﻵلية المالية:

With respect to modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities, the Committee may wish to focus its attention at the eleventh session on:
٨- وفيما يتعلق بطرائق تنفيذ الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات التشغيل، قد ترغب اللجنة في أن تركز انتباهها أثناء الدورة الحادية عشرة على ما يلي:

At the tenth session of the Committee, the following action was taken with respect to modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities.
٨١- في خلال الدورة العاشرة للجنة، تم اتخاذ الاجراء التالي فيما يتعلق بطرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات التشغيل.

By its decision 12/CP.1, paragraph 4, the COP invited the GEF in future reports to take fully into account relevant aspects of the modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism (FCCC/CP/1995/7/Add.1, section III (a)).
وفي الفقرة ٤ من مقرره ٢١/د أ-١، دعا مؤتمر اﻷطراف مرفق البيئة العالمية الى أن يأخذ في اعتباره الكامل، في تقاريره المقبلة، الجوانب ذات الصلة من طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات تشغيل اﻵلية المالية )FCCC/CP/1995/7/Add.1، الفرع الثالث )أ((.

The Committee may wish to bring to the attention of the GEF any new conclusions it may reach on guidance from the COP to the operating entity or entities or on modalities for the functioning of the operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities.
٢٦- قد تود اللجنة أن تسترعي اهتمام مرفق البيئة العالمية إلى أية استنتاجات جديدة قد تتوصل إليها بشأن التوجيهات المقدمة من مؤتمر اﻷطراف إلى الكيان أو الكيانات التشغيلية أو بشأن طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف والكيان أو الكيانات التشغيلية.

Conclusions reached by the Committee at its eighth, ninth and tenth sessions on modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities are given in the above-mentioned document, paragraphs 89-90.
٩١- وترد في الفقرتين ٩٨-٠٩ من الوثيقة المذكورة أعلاه الاستنتاجات التي توصلت إليها اللجنة في دوراتها الثامنة والتاسعة والعاشرة بصدد طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات التشغيل.

Also invited the GEF to take note of conclusions reached by the Committee with respect to modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism;
)ب( كما دعا مرفق البيئة العالمية الى أن يحيط علما بالاستنتاجات التي توصلت اليها اللجنة فيما يتعلق بطرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات تشغيل اﻵلية المالية؛

Modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities, and, in this regard, the determination of the amount of funding necessary and available for the implementation of the Convention, and the process for agreeing on arrangements between the COP and the operating entity or entities;
)ب( طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات التشغيل، والبت في هذا الصدد، في مبلغ التمويل اللازم والمتاح لتنفيذ الاتفاقية، وعملية الاتفاق على الترتيبات بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف وكيان أو كيانات التشغيل؛

At the eleventh session, the Committee may wish to bring to the attention of the GEF Council any new conclusions it may have reached concerning guidance from the COP to the financial mechanism that could inform the preparations of a GEF operational strategy for climate change or any new conclusions on modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the entity or entities.
وقد ترغب اللجنة، في دروتها الحادية عشرة، في إحاطة مجلس مرفق البيئة العالمية علماً بأية استنتاجات جديدة ربما تكون قد توصلت إليها بصدد التوجيهات من مؤتمر اﻷطراف إلى اﻵلية المالية وتفيد في اﻷعمال التحضيرية للاستراتيجية التشغيلية لمرفق البيئة العالمية في مجال تغير المناخ أو بأية استنتاجات بصدد طرائق عمل الروابط التشغيلية بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف والكيان أو الكيانات.

Under item 5 (b) (ii), in addition to adopting the decision contained in recommendation 10 of the INC/FCCC, the COP is invited to endorse the conclusion of the INC/FCCC on the modalities for the functioning of operational linkages between the COP and the operating entity or entities of the financial mechanism (A/AC.237/91/Add.1, conclusion (g)).
