The Convention prohibits any distinction, exclusion or restriction made on the basis of sex, which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the enjoyment and exercise of rights by women on an equal basis with men.
وتحظر الاتفاقية أي تفرقة أو استبعاد أو تقييد يتم على أساس الجنس، ويكون من آثاره أو أغراضه النيل من تمتع المرأة وممارستها لحقوقها على قدم المساواة مع الرجل أو إبطال هذه الحقوق.

The law prohibits any act that has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by women and men, on an equal basis, of fundamental rights.
ويحظر القانون القيام بأي عمل يكون مفعوله أو الهدف منه هو إضعاف أو إبطال الاعتراف للرجل والمرأة بحقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية أو التمتُّع بها أو ممارستها على قدم المساواة.

Consequently, we consider that claims of succession to such titles of nobility are not compatible with the provisions of the Convention, which are aimed at protecting women from discrimination which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by women on a basis of equality of men and women, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in all fields.

وأي تمييز أو استبعاد أو تقييد قد يشكل انتهاكا إذا كان من أثره أو من نيته إضعاف أو إحباط ممارسة أي حق من جانب أي فرد بعينه.

Discrimination on the basis of disability is defined in article 2 of the Convention as " any distinction, exclusion or restriction on the basis of disability which has the purpose or effect of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal basis with others, of all human rights and fundamental freedoms " .

التمييز المباشر معناه أي تمييز أو إقصاء أو تقييد يتم على أساس نوع الجنس ويكون من نتيجته أو غرضه الإخلال أو إبطال الاعتراف والتمتع والممارسة من جانب الجنس الآخر لحقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية في الميادين السياسية أو الاقتصادية أو الاجتماعية أو الثقافية أو المدنية أو أي ميدان آخر. المادة 16

55. Women and men are equal before the law, and the law prohibits any act which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by men and women, on an equal basis, of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
