In its resolution 59/45, the General Assembly reaffirmed the important roles of the Assembly and the Economic and Social Council in the area of assistance to third States confronted with special economic problems arising from the carrying out of preventive or enforcement measures imposed by the Security Council.
9 - أكدت الجمعية العامة من جديد، في قرارها 59/45، أهمية الدور الذي يضطلع به كل من الجمعية العامة والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في مجال تقديم المساعدة للدول الثالثة التي تواجه مشاكل اقتصادية خاصة ناشئة عن تنفيذ التدابير الوقائية أو تدابير الإنفاذ التي يفرضها مجلس الأمن.

١ - تؤكد أهمية إجراء المشاورات المنصوص عليها في المادة ٥٠ من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة، في أقرب وقت ممكن، مع الدول الثالثة التي تواجه أو قد تواجه مشاكل اقتصادية خاصة ناجمة عن تنفيذ التدابير الوقائية أو تدابير اﻹنفاذ التي يفرضها مجلس اﻷمن بمقتضى الفصل السابع من الميثاق، وأهمية إجراء تقييمات مبكرة ومنتظمة، حسب الاقتضاء، ﻷثر تلك التدابير على هذه الدول؛
