The National Security Political Council is endeavouring to find solutions to these disputes. This council is the equivalent of an Iraqi higher council for strategic decision-making and includes the President of the Republic, the Vice-Presidents, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, the Parliamentary Speaker and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, in addition to the leaders of the parliamentary blocs.
