To authorize the levels of production and consumption necessary to satisfy essential uses of chlorofluorocarbons for metered-dose inhalers for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases as specified in the annex to the present decision, subject to the conditions established by the Meeting of the Parties in paragraph 2 of its decision VII/28;

At the Twenty-Fourth Meeting of the Parties, concerns were expressed by a number of parties regarding the alteration the Committee had made to the decision-making process (section 2.6.1) and to the economic guidelines that had been carefully negotiated by the Parties in paragraph 6 of decision Ex.I/4.

The Secretariat compiled an analysis of work that it had undertaken based on the request made by the Conference of the Parties in paragraph 3 of decision IX/19, which it submitted to the Openended Working Group at its seventh session for its consideration (UNEP/CHW/OEWG/7/9/Add.1).
