The Committee agreed that the General Assembly could consider the idea of multi-year payment plans as a tool for the improvement of the financial situation of the Organization.

19. The Group acknowledged the role of multi-year payment plans as a demonstration of the intention of Member States with arrears to settle those arrears within a specified period of time, and encouraged all affected States to consider submitting payment plans.

11 - وبيّن أن اللجنة خلصت، لدى استعراض تقرير الأمين العام عن خطط التسديد المتعددة السنوات والمعلومات المستكملة عن تنفيذ الخطط المقدمة حتى 30 حزيران/يونيه 2006، إلى أن نظام خطط التسديد المتعددة السنوات كان مساهمة إيجابية في مساعدة الدول على تخفيض متأخراتها.
