3. On 1 July 2011, the Secretary-General received a note verbale dated 1 July 2011 from the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations nominating Ambassador Linggawaty Hakim as a candidate for election to the Finance Committee.

8. In the context of the foregoing, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia takes the categorical view that the note verbale of Portugal does not correspond to the prevailing realities in East Timor and therefore has no validity whatsoever.
