The United Nations Volunteers (UNV), as the focal point for the International Year of Volunteers in 2001, has been invited to report on the role of volunteering in the promotion of social development and to make proposals thereon to the Preparatory Committee as it considers further initiatives to propose to the General Assembly at the special session.

The Council also decided that, prior to the organizational session, the President, with the cooperation of the other members of the Bureau, should arrange for consultations with members of the Council on the draft programme of work and provisional agenda prepared by the Secretary-General and on the allocation of agenda items and make proposals thereon for consideration by the Council.

36. The Committee on Inland Transport shall, in cooperation with the Committee on Environmental Policy and in consultation with the World Health Organization, strengthen activities relating to: (a) the Transport Health and Environment Pan European Programme, including sustainable financing and staffing for the clearing house and (b) environmental aspects of transportation, and submit proposals thereon to the Executive Committee.
36 - تقوم لجنة النقل البري، بالتعاون مع لجنة السياسات البيئية وبالتشاور مع منظمة الصحة العالمية، بتعزيز الأنشطة المتصلة بما يلي: (أ) البرنامج الأوروبي الشامل المتعلق بالنقل والصحة والبيئة، بما في ذلك تأمين استدامة التمويل والتوظيف بمركز تبادل المعلومات، و (ب) الجوانب البيئية للنقل، وتقدم مقترحات عند ذلك إلى اللجنة التنفيذية.

Bearing in mind the importance of the legislation for the security and well-being of the Mongolian people, the law encourages nongovernmental organizations and individuals, within the mandate provided by the legislation, to exercise public oversight of the implementation of the law and submit proposals thereon to the relevant State authority.
ومراعاة لأهمية هذا التشريع لأمن ورفاه الشعب المنغولي، يشجع القانون المنظمات غير الحكومية والأفراد، ضمن إطار الولاية المنصوص عليها في التشريع، على ممارسة الرقابة العامة على تنفيذ القانون وتقديم المقترحات بشأن ذلك إلى السلطة الحكومية المختصة.
