20.30 In formulating the above-mentioned priorities, attempts were made to link programmed activities with those outlined in a three-year extrabudgetary flagship project on integrated follow-up to global conferences, which was formulated by ESCWA and supported by UNDP, to forge a regional link for Arab States between the global vision and national endeavours to pursue the recommendations of global conferences.
٠٢-٠٣ عند صياغة اﻷولويات المذكورة أعلاه جرت محاولات لربط اﻷنشطة المبرمجة لﻷنشطة التي وضعت خطوطها العريضة في مشروع نموذجي مدته ثلاث سنوات يمول من موارد خارج الميزانية للمتابعة المتكاملة للمؤتمرات العالمية، أعدته اللجنة ويدعمه برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي، لتكوين حلقة وصل إقليمية للدول العربية بين التصور العالمي والجهود الوطنية المبذولة لمتابعة توصيات المؤتمرات العالمية.

Finally, Zimbabwe welcomes the work being done by the recently established Office of the Special Adviser on Africa, currently headed by Mr. Ibrahim Gambari, whose mandate includes coordinating global advocacy in support of NEPAD, coordinating all reports to the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council on NEPAD, and following up on the recommendations of global conferences and summits related to Africa.
