1- إذا توفي عضو في اللجنة أو استقال أو أعلن أنه لم يعد يستطيع لأي سبب آخر أداء واجباته في اللجنة، يقوم رئيس اللجنة بإبلاغ الأمين العام بذلك، فيعلن الأمين العام حينئذ شغور مقعد ذلك العضو.

If, in the unanimous opinion of the other members, a member of the Committee has ceased to carry out his functions for any cause other than absence of a temporary character, the Chairperson of the Committee shall notify the SecretaryGeneral, who shall then declare the seat of that member to be vacant.
1- إذا رأى أعضاء اللجنة بالإجماع أن عضواً في اللجنة قد توقف عن أداء وظائفه لأي سبب خلاف التغيب ذي الطابع المؤقت، يقوم رئيس اللجنة بإبلاغ الأمين العام الذي يعلن عندئذ مقعد ذلك العضو شاغراً.

2- إذا انقطع عضو في اللجنة، بإجماع رأي أعضائها الآخرين، عن الاضطلاع بوظائفه لأي سبب غير الغياب ذي الطابع المؤقت، يُبلغ رئيس اللجنة الأمين العام بذلك، فيعلن الأمين العام حينئذ شغور مقعد ذلك العضو.

5. On 19 September, the Committee, having considered the question of the credentials of Cambodia, decided to defer a decision on the credentials of Cambodia on the understanding that, pursuant to the applicable procedures of the Assembly, no one would occupy the seat of that country at the fifty-second session.
٥ - وقررت اللجنة في ١٩ أيلول/سبتمبر، بعد أن نظرت في مسألة وثائق التفويض المتعلقة بكمبوديا، إرجاء اتخاذ قرار بشأن وثائق التفويض المتعلقة بكمبوديا على أساس ألا يشغل أحد مقعد ذلك البلد في الدورة الثانية والخمسين، عملا بإجراءات الجمعية العامة الواجبة التطبيق.
