In the final declaration adopted at the summit held in Tunis, from 16 to 18 March 1996, the Heads of State of the Great Lakes Region stated that they undertook to support fully the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and to transfer all persons charged in their territory to the legal authorities.
وفي اﻹعلان الختامي المعتمد في مؤتمر القمة الذي عقد في تونــس في الفتــرة من ١٦ إلى ١٨ آذار/مارس ٦٩٩١، صرح رؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى أنهم تعهدوا بالدعم الكامل للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية لرواندا وبنقل جميع اﻷشخاص الذين توجه إليهم عراض اتهام في اقاليمهم إلى السلطات القانونية.

6. Encourages States of the Great Lakes region to ensure the effective implementation of the Tunis Declaration of Heads of State of the Great Lakes Region of 18 March 1996;
٦ - يشجع دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى على كفالة التنفيذ الفعال ﻹعلان تونس المؤرخ ١٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦ الذي أصدره رؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى؛

Welcoming the summit of Heads of State of the Great Lakes Region held in Cairo on 28-29 November and the Declaration of 29 November 1995 issued by them (S/1995/1001),
وإذ يرحب بمؤتمر قمة رؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى المعقود في القاهرة يومي ٢٨ و ٢٩ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر وباﻹعلان الصادر عنهم في ٢٩ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٥ (S/1995/1001)،

In the Declaration adopted at the Tunis summit of the heads of State of the Great Lakes Region on 18 March 1996, it was reaffirmed that Rwanda would welcome the deployment of an expanded number of human rights monitors throughout the country and was prepared to permit the number to rise to 300.
ففي اﻹعلان الذي اعتمد في مؤتمر قمة تونس لرؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى في ١٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦، أعيد تأكيد ترحيب رواندا بنشر عدد إضافي من مراقبي حقوق اﻹنسان في جميع أرجاء البلد وأكد من جديد أنها مستعدة للسماح بزيادة عددهم الى ٣٠٠ مراقب.

137- وترغب بعثة مجلس الأمن في الإعراب عن تقديرها العميق لرؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى والسيد نلسون مانديلا والسير كيتوميلي ماسيري الذين التقوا البعثة لتبادل وجهات النظر بشأن هذه القضايا الهامة المتعددة.

Acknowledging the firm commitments made by the Heads of State of the Great Lakes Region in the International Conference Pact on Security, Stability and Development in the Great Lakes Region on 15 December 2006 and its Protocols, specifically the Protocol on Non-Aggression and Mutual Defence in the Great Lakes Region,
وإذ نعترف بالالتزامات الراسخة التي تعهد بها رؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى في ميثاق الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى المنبثق عن المؤتمر الدولي المؤرخ 15 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2006 وبروتوكولاته، ولا سيما بروتوكول عدم الاعتداء والدفاع المتبادل في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى،

3. The General Assembly called upon all States to act in accordance with the recommendations adopted by the Nairobi Summit of January 1995, the Regional Conference on Assistance to Refugees, Returnees and Displaced Persons in the Great Lakes Region, held at Bujumbura in February 1995, and those contained in the Cairo Declaration adopted at the summit of heads of State of the Great Lakes Region, held at Cairo in November 1995.
٣ - وطلبت الجمعية العامة إلى جميع الدول أن تتصرف وفقا للتوصيات المعتمدة في مؤتمر قمة نيروبي الذي عقد في كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٥، والمؤتمر اﻹقليمي المعني بمساعدة اللاجئين والعائدين والمشردين في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى الذي عقد في بوجمبورا في شباط/فبراير ٥٩٩١، والتوصيات الواردة في إعلان القاهرة الذي اعتمده مؤتمر القمة لرؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى الذي عقد في القاهرة في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ٥٩٩١.

Participants in the Tripartite Commissions, the Addis Ababa follow-up meeting to the Bujumbura Conference in February 1996, the summit of the heads of State of the Great Lakes Region in Tunis in March 1996 and the Steering Committee meeting in Geneva in May 1996 expressed their frustration at the absence of wide-scale repatriation of Rwandan refugees and recommended further measures to improve the return rate.
وأعرب المشاركون في اللجان الثلاثية، وفي اجتماع أديس أبابا من أجل متابعة مؤتمر بوجمبورا المعقود في شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٦، ومؤتمر القمة لرؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى الذي عقد في تونس في آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦، واجتماع اللجنة التوجيهية المعقود في جنيف في أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦، عن إحباطهم لانعدام عودة اللاجئين الروانديين على نطاق واسع، وأوصو باتخاذ مزيد من اﻹجراءات لزيادة معدل العودة.

Reaffirming also the importance of terminating radio broadcasts which spread hate and fear in the region, and emphasizing the need for States to assist the countries of the region in terminating such broadcasts as stated by the Cairo Declaration of Heads of State of the Great Lakes Region of 29 November 1995 (S/1995/1001),
وإذ يؤكد من جديد أيضا أهمية وقف البرامج اﻹذاعية التي تنشر الكراهية والخوف في المنطقة، وإذ يشدد على ضرورة قيام الدول بمساعدة بلدان المنطقة في وقف مثل هذه البرامج اﻹذاعية على النحو المذكور في إعلان القاهرة الصادر عن رؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى بتاريخ ٢٩ تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر ١٩٩٥ (S/1995/1001)،

The Council also welcomes the outcome of the Cairo Conference of Heads of State of the Great Lakes Region on 29 November 1995, supports the work of the facilitators appointed by it, and emphasizes once again the importance it attaches to all States acting in accordance with the recommendations contained in the Cairo Declaration as well as those adopted at the Regional Conference held in Bujumbura in February 1995.
كما يرحب المجلس بنتائج مؤتمر رؤساء دول منطقة البحيرات الكبرى الذي عُقد بالقاهرة في ٩٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ٥٩٩١. ويؤيد عمل المنسقين الذين عينهم المؤتمر لتيسير حل اﻷزمة، ويؤكد مرة أخرى على اﻷهمية التي يوليها لتصرف جميع الدول وفقا للتوصيات الواردة في إعلان القاهرة وللتوصيات المعتمدة في المؤتمر اﻹقليمي الذي عُقد في بوجومبورا في شباط/ فبراير ٥٩٩١.
