It is anticipated that the requirements relating to resolutions and decisions adopted by the Sub-Commission at its fifty-third session which are to be considered by the Commission on Human Rights at its fifty-eighth session, would be absorbed from within the provisions made under section 21 of the 2002-2003 programme budget for activities mandated by the Economic and Social Council.

The issue of possible " early action " by the Commission on Sub-Commission proposals requiring the approval of the parent body was raised by the Sub-Commission at its fifty-third session in the context of proposing " further measures to improve the functioning of the SubCommission " , as requested in Commission resolution 2001/60 (para. 7 (c)).
