At its 718th meeting, on 8 February, the Subcommittee decided to invite observers for Azerbaijan, Croatia, the Dominican Republic, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates, at their request, to attend the session and to address it, as appropriate, on the understanding that it would be without prejudice to further requests of that nature and that it would not involve any decision of the Subcommittee concerning status.

At its 738th meeting, on 7 February, the Subcommittee decided to invite, at their request, observers for Azerbaijan, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Israel, Namibia, the United Arab Emirates and Zimbabwe to attend the session and to address it, as appropriate, on the understanding that it would be without prejudice to further requests of that nature and that doing so would not involve any decision of the Subcommittee concerning status.
