Introducing the sub-item, the representative of the secretariat recalled that by its decision POPRC-7/5 the Committee had established an ad hoc working group, chaired by Mr. Samuel Banda (Zambia), to prepare the technical paper on alternatives to perfluoroactane sulfonic acid in open applications.
