إن الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان يعرف في التاريخ أنه رجل حول مجموعة من الجزر الصغيرة المتخلفة النمو في الخليج الفارسي إلى أمة حديثة متطورة جدا، في فترة قصيرة بلغت أقل من 40 عاما.

Regarding his governing methods in his country, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan once expressed the following great insight:

باسم الجمعية العامة، أرجو من ممثل الإمارات العربية المتحدة أن يبلغ تعازينا إلى حكومة وشعب الإمارات العربية المتحدة وإلى أسرة صاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان المفجوعة.

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan was nearly 90 years old when he passed on, and he had dutifully presided over his nation for over 30 years.
لقد كان الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان في عمر 90 سنة تقريبا حينما وافته المنية. وقد تقلَّد رئاسة أمته بكل مسؤولية لأكثر من 30 سنة.

It is through this achievement that Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan won the eternal love and admiration of his people for over three decades, and for which he will always be remembered.
وبهذا الإنجاز، نال الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان محبة وإعجاب شعبه بصورة دائمة لأكثر من ثلاثة عقود، ولذلك سيتذكره الجميع دائما.

The Supreme Council congratulated His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and the people of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of their twenty-seventh National Day, wishing the United Arab Emirates every success and prosperity.

The United Arab Emirates, under the guidance of His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Head of State has consistently pursued policies and taken measures in the area of development that are in consonance with its national interests and that take into account the importance of using international mechanisms in seeking to achieve sustainable development and in developing the concept of human security.
إن اﻹمارات العربية المتحدة عملت وبفضل توجهات صاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان رئيس الدولة، على انتهاج سياسات وتدابير إنمائية تتماشى وتنسجم مع رؤيتها لمصالحها الوطنية، آخذة في الاعتبار المشاركة بفعاليات المجتمع الدولي تحقيقا للتنمية المستدامة وتطويرا لمفهوم اﻷمن البشري.

On 4 November, Prime Minister Gedi visited the United Arab Emirates to attend the funeral of Sheikh Zaid bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
وفي 4 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر قام رئيس الوزراء جيدي بزيارة الإمارات العربية المتحدة لحضور جنازة الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان.

The United Arab Emirates placed on record its position regarding the agreement when His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, made the following statement: " We issued an appeal for the conclusion of this agreement and we stated that we were deeply committed to its conclusion, since we rejected military intervention.
لقد عبرت دولة اﻹمارات العربية المتحدة عن موقفها من هذا الاتفاق على لسان رئيسها صاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان رئيس دولة اﻹمارات العربية المتحدة، حيث أعلن سموه " إننا دعونا لهذا الاتفاق وأكدنا حرصنا على الوصول إليه انطلاقا من رفضنا للعمل العسكري ..

The Council has reviewed the statements by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Mohamad Khatemi, in which he expressed his desire to meet with the President of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, who has welcomed this and declared himself amenable to any meeting between the leaders of the two countries.
كما استعرض المجلس اﻷعلى تصريحات فخامة الرئيس محمد خاتمي، رئيس جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية، التي عبر فيها عن رغبته باللقاء بصاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، رئيس دولة اﻹمارات العربية المتحدة، واستمع إلى ترحيب صاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان بهذا التوجه، ورحب المجلس اﻷعلى بأي لقاء يعقد بين قيادتي البلدين.

The Supreme Council affirms the importance of the human role in development as stated by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan (may God rest his soul): " Man is the basic component of all progress; the dearest fruit of this land is human beings, whom we must care for deeply and whose welfare we must safeguard. "
يؤكد المجلس الأعلى على أهمية دور الإنسان في التنمية كما جاء في مقولة الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان طيب الله ثراه " إن الإنسان هو العنصر الأساسي لكل تقدم، وأن أثمن ثمرة لهذا البلد هو الإنسان الذي يجب أن نعتني به كل العناية، وتؤمن له كل الرعاية " .

In response to the kind invitation of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council held its nineteenth session in the United Arab Emirates from 18 to 20 Sha'ban A.H. 1419 (7 to 9 December A.D. 1998), under the presidency of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and with the participation of the following:

Guided by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, President of the State, the United Arab Emirates has, since its establishment, continued to provide emergency relief assistance and long-term development aid to developing countries through regional partnerships and specialized national bodies.
انتهجت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة منذ إنشائها، بتوجيهات من صاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان رئيس الدولة " حفظه الله " ، سياسة ترتكز على مبدأ تقديم المساعدات الغوثية، الطارئة والتنموية طويلة الأمد، للبلدان النامية في جميع أنحاء العالم، من خلال شراكات إقليمية، ومجموعة من الأجهزة الوطنية المتخصصة.

10. Commends the continuous support granted to the University by the Islamic Development Bank, the International Cooperation Agency in the Kingdom of Morocco, the World Islamic Dawa Association in Libya, Zayd Ibn Sultan Al-Nahyan Charitable Foundation, the Kuwait Beit Al Zakat, the World Islamic Charity Organization in Kuwait, the Charity Association in Ujman, the Sharja Charity Association and Fujeira Charity Committee.
