3.1 The complainant claims that there are substantial grounds for believing that he would be in danger of being subjected to torture on return to Iran and, therefore, Sweden would be violating article 3 of the Convention if he were returned there.

6.9 The Committee therefore is of the view that the complainant has not adduced sufficient grounds which would allow the Committee to conclude that he would be in danger of being subjected to a substantial, present and personal risk of torture if returned to Sri Lanka.

3.1 The author argues that he would be in serious danger of being subjected to torture if he was deported to India.

No person will be expelled, returned or extradited from the State to a place where there are substantial grounds for believing that he would be in danger of being subjected to torture as set out in the Convention against Torture of 1985 and as required by the European Convention on Human Rights.
ولن يتعرض أي شخص للطرد أو الإعادة أو التسليم من الدولة إلى مكان تتوفر فيه أسباب وجيهة تدعو إلى الاعتقاد بأنه قد يواجه خطر التعرض للتعذيب، كما هو مبين في اتفاقية مناهضة التعذيب لعام 1985، وكما تشترط ذلك الاتفاقية الأوروبية لحقوق الإنسان.
