In its resolution 8/9 of 18 June 2008 the Human Rights Council requested the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to convene, before April 2009, and taking into account previous practices, a three-day workshop on the right of peoples to peace, with the participation of two experts from countries of each of the five regional groups, and to report on the outcome of the workshop to the Council at its eleventh session.
1- طلب مجلس حقوق الإنسان في قراره 8/9 المؤرخ 18 حزيران/يونيه 2008 إلى مفوضة الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان أن تدعو، قبل نيسان/أبريل 2009، ومع مراعاتها لما درجت عليه العادة، إلى انعقاد حلقة عمل مدتها ثلاثة أيام تتناول حق الشعوب في السلم، يشارك فيها خبيران من كل من المجموعات الإقليمية الخمس، وأن تقدم تقريراً عن حصيلة الحلقة إلى المجلس في دورته الحادية عشرة.

23. Recalling Council resolution 7/29 and General Assembly resolution 63/241, expresses deep concern at the delay in the appointment of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, and requests the Secretary-General to proceed urgently to that appointment in accordance with Assembly resolution 62/141, and to report to the Council at its eleventh session on progress made in this regard;
