71. On 1 October 2007, the Rome Statute entered into force for Japan following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 17 July 2007.

At any time after the deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval of this Convention or of accession thereto, a State may notify the Depositary of its consent to be bound by any annexed Protocol by which it is not already bound.
ويجوز لأية دولة في أي وقت بعد إيداع صك تصديقها على هذه الاتفاقية أو قبولها أو إقرارها أو انضمامها إليها، أن تُشعر الوديع بموافقتها على الالتزام بأي بروتوكول ملحق بها لم تلتزم به من قبل.

Thereafter, for each State Party ratifying or acceding to an amendment after the deposit of the required number of such instruments, the amendment shall enter into force on the thirtieth day following the deposit of its instrument of ratification or accession.

In its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, any Party may declare that, with respect to it, any additional regional implementation annex or any amendment to any regional implementation annex shall enter into force only upon the deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession with respect thereto.

2. For each State or entity which ratifies the Agreement or accedes thereto after the deposit of the thirtieth instrument of ratification or accession, this Agreement shall enter into force on the thirtieth day following the deposit of its instrument of ratification or accession.
٢ - يبدأ نفاذ هذا الاتفاق بالنسبة لكل دولة أو كيان يصدق عليه أو ينضم اليه بعد إيداع الوثيقة الثلاثين من وثائق التصديق أو الانضمام، في اليوم الثلاثين التالي ﻹيداع وثيقة التصديق أو الانضمام الخاصة به.
