Having considered resolution 8/29 on the implementation of the strategy for the development of science and technology in Islamic Countries adopted at the twenty-ninth Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers held in Khartoum from 25-27 June 2002;

3. Highly Appreciates the successful efforts of ISESCO and COMSTECH in preparing the final document of the implementation mechanisms of the strategy for the development of science and technology in Islamic Countries.

1. Approves the Resolutions and recommendations of the Second meeting of ISESCO Consultative Council on the Implementation of the Strategy for the development of science and technology in Islamic Countries,

Having considered resolution 8/10-ST(IS) on the implementation of the strategy for the development of science and technology in Islamic Countries adopted at the Tenth Session of the Islamic Summit Conference held in Putrajaya, Malaysia from 20 to 21 Shabaan 1424H (16 to 17 October 2003);
وبعد اطلاعه على القرار رقم 8/10 - ع ت (ق إ) بشأن تطبيق استراتيجية تطوير العلوم والتكنولوجيا في البلدان الإسلامية، الصادر عن الدورة العاشرة لمؤتمر القمة الإسلامي في بوتراجيا بماليزيا يومي 20 و21 شعبان 1424هـ (الموافق 16 و17 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2003)،

2. Welcomes the decision of the Second Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research to entrust ISESCO with supervising and seeing to the implementation of the Strategy for the development of science and technology in the Islamic countries, and the follow-up of its implementation with the authorities in Member States.
2 - يرحب بالقرار الصادر عن المؤتمر الإسلامي الأول لوزراء التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الذي يقضي بتكليف الإيسيسكو بمهمة السهر والإشراف على تنفيذ استراتيجية تطوير العلوم والتكنولوجيا في البلدان الإسلامية ومتابعة تنفيذها مع السلطات المعنية في الدول الأعضاء.

4. Calls on Member States to adopt the general directions of the Strategy for the development of science and technology in the Islamic Countries and to take the necessary organizational measures regarding implementation of the Strategy within the framework of their national policies in the fields of science and technology.
4 - يدعو الدول الأعضاء إلى اعتماد التوجيهات العامة لإستراتيجية تطوير العلوم والتكنولوجيا في البلدان الإسلامية واتخاذ التدابير التنظيمية اللازمة بشأن تنفيذ الاستراتيجية ضمن إطار سياساتها الوطنية في المجالات العلمية والتكنولوجية.

2. Welcomes the decision of the First Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research to entrust ISESCO with supervising and seeing to the implementation of the Strategy for the development of science and technology in the Islamic countries, and the follow-up of its implementation with the authorities in Member States.

It also invited them to take initiatives to encourage the African States to allocate 3 per cent of the resources which they obtained from UNDP to the development of science and technology in Africa.
كما دعاهما المؤتمر إلى القيام بمبادرات لتشجيع الدول اﻷفريقية على تخصيص ٣ في المائة من الموارد التي تحصل عليها من برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي لتطوير العلوم والتكنولوجيا في أفريقيا.
