3. The Ministers noted with concern the following measures that impede normal development in the field of information and communication in non-aligned countries:
٣ - ولاحظ الوزراء مع القلق التدابير التالية التي تعرقل التنمية الطبيعية في ميدان اﻹعلام والاتصال في بلدان عدم الانحياز:

Qatar, for its part, had recently adopted a new strategy in the field of information and communication, based on the principles of the freedom, objectivity and accuracy of information.
وقد اعتمدت قطر من جانبها مؤخرا استراتيجية جديدة في ميدان اﻹعلام والاتصال تستند إلى مبادئ حرية المعلومات وموضوعيتها ودقتها.

43. The developing countries were concerned about continuing imbalances in the field of information and communication.
43 - وأضاف قائلاً إن البلدان النامية تشعر بالقلق إزاء استمرار عدم التوازن في مجال الإعلام والاتصالات.

The Ministers assessed the performance of Member Countries in the field of information and communication during the last nine years and noted their continuing and increasing efforts to bring about balanced and free flow of information.
12- قيّم الوزراء دور بلدان عدم الانحياز في مجال الإعلام والاتصالات خلال السنوات التسع الأخيرة وأخذوا علماً بجهودها المتواصلة والمتزايدة الرامية لتحقيق تيار إعلامي حر ومتوازن.

To ensure long-term sustainability, capacities must be maximized, including in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).
ويجب، بغية كفالة الاستدامة على الأجل الطويل، زيادة القدرات، بما في ذلك في ميدان تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات.

25. The Ministers noted that the Fourth Conference of Ministers of Information of Non-Aligned Countries, held at Pyongyang in June 1993, had recommended the setting up of new international information centres on different continents to promote South-South cooperation in the field of information and communication based on the principle of collective self-reliance.
٥٢ - لاحظ الوزراء أن المؤتمر الرابع لوزراء اﻹعلام لبلدان عدم الانحياز المعقود في بيونغ يانغ في حزيران/يونيه ٣٩٩١ كان قد أوصى بإنشاء مراكز إعلامية دولية جديدة في مختلف القارات لتعزيز إقامة تعاون بين الجنوب والجنوب في ميدان اﻹعلام والاتصال يستند إلى الاعتماد الجماعي على الذات.

Both the Fourth Conference of Ministers of Information of Non-Aligned Countries held in Pyongyang in June 1993 and the Fifth Conference held in Abuja in September 1996 had stressed the imbalance of relations in the field of international information and urged the international community to participate actively in the establishment of a new international order in the field of information and communication.
فقد أكد كل من المؤتمر الرابع لوزراء إعلام بلدان عدم الانحياز المعقود في بيونغيانغ في حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣ والمؤتمر الخامس المعقود في أبوجا في أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٦، على عدم التوازن في العلاقات في ميدان اﻹعلام الدولي، وحث المجتمع الدولي على المشاركة بنشاط في إقامة نظام دولي جديد في ميدان اﻹعلام والاتصال.

Many Committee members had noted the dramatic technological achievements in the field of information and communication in recent years and had referred to the still existing disparities between the developed countries and the developing countries, calling for the elimination of those disparities.
٢ - وأردف قائلا إن عددا كبيرا من أعضاء اللجنة قد لاحظوا اﻹنجازات التكنولوجية المذهلة في ميدان اﻹعلام والاتصال في السنوات اﻷخيرة وأشاروا إلى التفاوتات التي لا تزال قائمة بين البلدان المتقدمة النمو والبلدان النامية ودعوا إلى القضاء على تلك التفاوتات.
