واستعرض المجلس الأعلى تطورات الأحداث في الأراضي الفلسطينية، وعملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط، وأوضح مواقف دول المجلس تجاهها، وذلك على النحو التالي:

The Council affirmed that it continued to welcome all initiatives to mitigate the suffering of the Iraqi people. It stressed its determination to continue the efforts of the GCC States to end their plight, which had already endured for too long.
وعبر المجلس اﻷعلى عن ترحيبه المستمر بكل مبادرة تسهم في التخفيف من معاناة الشعب العراقي، مؤكدا عزمه على مواصلة جهود دول المجلس الهادفة إلى رفع تلك المعاناة التي طال أمدها.
