The prevention and minimization of the generation of hazardous wastes
منع وتدنية توليد النفايات الخطرة

(a) Ensure that the generation of hazardous wastes and other wastes within it is reduced to a minimum, taking into account social, technological and economic aspects;
ضمان خفض توليد النفايات الخطرة والنفايات الأخرى داخلها إلى الحد الأدنى، مع مراعاة الجوانب الاجتماعية والتكنولوجية والاقتصادية؛

(b) Best practice approach to avoid or minimize the generation of hazardous wastes and reduce their toxicity, such as the use of cleaner production methods or approaches; and
(ب) نهج خاص بأفضل الممارسات لمنع أو لتدنية توليد النفايات الخطرة وخفض سميتها، مثل استخدام طرق أو نهج الإنتاج الأنظف؛

(b) Best practice approach to avoid or minimize the generation of hazardous wastes and reduce their toxicity, such as the use of cleaner production methods or approaches; and

8 - ويعكف كذلك فريق الخبراء العامل المعني بالإدارة السليمة بيئياً على دراسة تعزيز وتنفيذ استراتيجيات لمنع توليد النفايات الخطرة والنفايات الأخرى والتقليل من توليدها إلى الحد الأدنى والتخلص منها.

To minimize the generation of hazardous wastes and other wastes (in terms both of quantity and potential hazard);
(أ) تقليل توليد النفايات الخطرة والنفايات الأخرى إلى الحد الأدنى (من حيث كل من الكمية والمخاطر المحتملة)؛

ب) منع توليد النفايات الخطرة وتقليله إلى الحد الأدنى؛

Best practice approach to avoid or minimize the generation of hazardous wastes and reduce their toxicity, such as the use of cleaner production methods or approaches;
(ب) نهج خاص بأفضل الممارسات لمنع أو لتدنية توليد النفايات الخطرة وخفض سميتها، مثل استخدام طرق أو نهج الإنتاج الأنظف؛

(c) The ban is likely to distort the aims of the Basel Convention, which focus on minimizing the generation of hazardous wastes and ensuring their environmentally sound management.
(ج) قد يحرّف الحظر أهداف اتفاقية بازل التي تقوم أساساً على تقليل توليد النفايات الخطرة إلى أدنى حد وضمان إدارتها على نحو سليم بيئيا.

The parties shall take all appropriate measures " to prevent and eliminate pollution of the Mediterranean Sea area which can be caused by transboundary movements and disposal of hazardous wastes " " to reduce to a minimum, and where possible eliminate, the generation of hazardous wastes [as well as] the movement of hazardous wastes in the Mediterranean " .
ويجب على اﻷطراف اتخاذ جميع التدابير الملائمة بغية " منع وازالة أي تلوث للبحر اﻷبيض المتوسط ينجم عن حركة نقل النفايات الخطرة والتخلص منها عبر الحدود " ]وكذلك[ " بغية التقليل الى أدنى حد من توليد النفايات الخطرة ]و[ من حركة هذه النفايات في البحر اﻷبيض المتوسط، وازالتها تماما حيثما أمكن " .
