2. By its decision 3/COP.8, the COP, at its eighth session, requested the GM and the UNCCD secretariat, as well as the two subsidiary bodies of the COP, to develop four-year workplans, in line with the 10-year strategic plan and framework to enhance the implementation of the Convention (2008 -- 2018) (The Strategy) and following a results-based management approach, for submission to the COP.
2- طلب مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الثامنة، بموجب مقرره 3/م أ-8، إلى الآلية العالمية وأمانة الاتفاقية وكذلك إلى هيئتيه الفرعيتين، أن تُعدّ خطط عمل لأربع سنوات، على نحو يتفق مع الخطة وإطار العمل الاستراتيجيين للسنوات العشر من أجل تعزيز تنفيذ الاتفاقية (2008-2018) (الاستراتيجية)، ويأخذ بنهج الإدارة القائمة على النتائج، وأن تقدم تلك الخطط إلى مؤتمر الأطراف.

The COP requested in decision 5/COP.6 that the GM and the UNCCD secretariat " adopt a joint work programme within the framework of the GM's Business Plan aimed at maximizing the impact of resources and actions, avoiding duplication and overlap, and tapping into the expertise, added value and network of each organization in a collaborative manner as action programmes are implemented " .
