With regard to the programme budget implications of draft resolution A/C.3/62/L.41/Rev.1 on the situation of human rights in Myanmar (A/C.5/62/13), the General Assembly, should it adopt the draft resolution, would request the Secretary-General to continue to provide his good offices and to pursue his discussions on the situation of human rights and the restoration of democracy with the Government and the people of Myanmar.

9 - وفي سبيل المضي قدماً، سيواصل الأمين العام تعاونه مع جميع الجهات المعنية لدعم جهود حكومة ميانمار وشعبها الرامية إلى تحقيق المصالحة الوطنية، والانتقال إلى الديمقراطية، وكفالة الاحترام الكامل لحقوق الإنسان، باعتبارها أسساً ضرورية لتحقيق الاستقرار والرخاء في الأجل الطويل.

8. At its forty-eighth session, in 1992, the Commission on Human Rights decided to nominate a special rapporteur to establish direct contacts with the Government and the people of Myanmar (Commission resolution 1992/58).
