The expert group meeting also agreed on the need to develop criteria for measuring progress towards the realization of the human right to adequate housing and for the strengthening of existing United Nations organizations and bodies in the development and promotion of this right.

15. States must ensure the equal right of women and men to protection from forced evictions and the equal enjoyment of the human right to adequate housing and security of tenure, as reflected in the present guidelines.
