In its resolution 19/10, the Human Rights Council decided to appoint an Independent Expert on the issue of human rights obligations relating to the enjoyment of a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

Three mandates had been established in 2012: the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Belarus; the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Eritrea; and the Independent Expert on the issue of human rights obligations relating to the enjoyment of a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
وقد أُنشئت ثلاث ولايات في عام 2012، هي: المقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في بيلاروس؛ والمقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في إريتريا؛ والخبير المستقل المعني بمسألة التزامات حقوق الإنسان المتعلقة بالتمتع ببيئة آمنة ونظيفة وصحية ومستدامة.

In its resolution 19/10, the Council decided to appoint, for a period of three years, an Independent Expert on the issue of human rights obligations relating to the enjoyment of a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment, and requested the mandate holder to submit a first report, including conclusions and recommendations, to the Council at its twenty-second session, and annually thereafter.
