It was therefore judged appropriate for the Commission, as an intergovernmental body, to undertake its own review, parallel and in close cooperation with the High Commissioner, of the mechanisms of the Commission which would cover all bodies and mechanism which reported to it, i.e. the Sub—Commission, all working groups and special rapporteurs.
