8. In section VIII of its resolution 53/214 of 18 December 1998, the General Assembly approved revisions to the conditions of service and compensation for the members of the International Court of Justice, and at the same time adopted the Pension Scheme Regulations for the judges of both Tribunals.

Further approves the Pension Scheme Regulations for the judges of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the Pension Scheme Regulations for the judges of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda contained in annexes IV and V, respectively, of the report of the Secretary-General, with consequential modifications resulting from the decisions taken by the General Assembly at its current session;
