The repeated violations of the Nicosia flight information region and of the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by Turkish military aircraft are indicative of the provocative attitude of Turkey, which in 1974 invaded and occupied 37 per cent of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
وتدل الانتهاكات المتكررة ﻹقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا وللمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص من جانب طائرات عسكرية تركية على الموقف الاستفزازي الذي تتخذه تركيا التي قامت في عام ١٩٧٤ باجتياح واحتلال ٣٧ في المائة من إقليم جمهورية قبرص.

Upon instructions from my Government and further to my letter dated 25 October 2000, I have the honour to draw your attention to new massive violations of the Flight Information Region (FIR) of Nicosia and the National Airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by military aircraft of the Turkish Air Force, recorded on 23 and 31 October as well as on 7 and 8, 10 to 17, 21 to 24 and 29 and 30 November 2000.

The aircraft in question violated the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by flying over the area of Kormakitis and the northern coast of the Republic, exiting thereafter towards the Ankara flight information region.
وانتهكت الطائرتان المذكورتان المجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص إذ حلقتا فوق منطقة كورماكيتيس وساحل الجمهورية الشمالي، ثم خرجتا متجهتين نحو منطقة أنقرة لمعلومات الطيران.

The two RF-4 aircraft violated the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by flying over and along the areas of Karpasia, Mesaoria, Lefkoniko, Tymbou, Morfou and Kormakitis before returning to the Ankara FIR.
وانتهكت الطائرتان من طراز RF-4 المجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص إذ حلقتا فوق وعلى طول مناطق كارباسيا وميساوريا ولفكونيكو وتيمبو ومورفو وكورماكيتيس قبل أن تعودا إلى منطقة أنقرة لمعلومات الطيران.

The six F-16 aircraft violated the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by flying over the area of Karpasia and landed afterwards at the illegal airport of Lefkoniko in the occupied area of the Republic, before taking off at 1446 hours on the same day, returning to the Ankara FIR.
وانتهكت الطائرات الست من طراز F-16 المجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص إذ حلقت فوق منطقة كارباسيا، ثم هبطت بعد ذلك في مطار لفكونيكو غير الشرعي في المنطقة المحتلة من الجمهورية الذي غادرته في الساعة ٤٦/١٤ من نفس اليوم عائدة إلى منطقة أنقرة لمعلومات الطيران.

As stated in previous such letters, the continued violations of the international air traffic regulations and the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by Turkey should be included in the report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations operation in Cyprus.
وكما ذُكر في رسائل سابقة، فإنه ينبغي إدراج الانتهاكات المتواصلة لقواعد الملاحة الجوية الدولية والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص من قِبل تركيا في تقرير الأمين العام عن عملية الأمم المتحدة في قبرص.
