The General Assembly, in its resolution 56/55 of 20 December 2001, strongly appealed to all States, specialized agencies and non-governmental organizations to augment the special allocations for grants and scholarships to Palestine refugees, in addition to their contributions to the regular budget of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
ناشدت الجمعية العامة بقوة في قرارها 56/55 المؤرخ 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، جميع الدول والوكالات المتخصصة والمنظمات غير الحكومية زيادة الاعتمادات الخاصة بالهبات والمنح الدراسية للاجئين الفلسطينيين، بالإضافة إلى مساهماتها في الميزانية العادية لوكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في الشرق الأدنى (الأونروا).
