In this context, the Sub-Commission, in its resolution 1993/31, requested the Secretary-General to report to the Sub-Commission at its forty-sixth session on the developments within the United Nations system of the possibility of establishing a joint United Nations programme on HIV and AIDS.

At its forty-fifth session, the Sub-Commission adopted resolution 1993/36, in which it endorsed the preliminary conclusions and recommendations contained in the progress report of the Special Rapporteur (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/15) and requested him to submit to the Sub-Commission, at its forty-sixth session, a second progress report.
٦٨- واعتمدت اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الخامسة واﻷربعين القرار ٣٩٩١/٦٣ الذي أيدت فيه الاستنتاجات والتوصيات اﻷولية الواردة في التقرير المرحلي للمقرر الخاص )E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/15(، وطلبت إليه أن يقدم إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها السادسة واﻷربعين تقريرا مرحليا ثانيا.

2. Endorses the Sub-Commission's request to Mr. Guissé and Mr. Joinet to submit a report, including conclusions and recommendations, on the first aspect of the question of impunity, with respect to civil and political rights, to the Sub-Commission at its forty-sixth session and to continue their study on the second aspect of the question, concerning economic, social and cultural rights;

In its decisions 1992/110 and 1993/105 of 27 August 1992 and 5 March 1993, the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities and the Commission on Human Rights, respectively, requested the Special Rapporteur to submit to the Working Group on Indigenous Populations at its twelfth session, and to the Sub-Commission at its forty-sixth session (1994), his second progress report on the present study.

٩٢٢- وقد عرض على اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها السادسة واﻷربعين تقرير اﻷمين العام عن التطورات في منظمة اﻷمم المتحدة بشأن فيروس نقص المناعة البشري ومتلازمة نقص المناعة المكتسب )اﻹيدز(، وخاصة التقدم المحرز في إنشاء برنامج مشترك لﻷمم المتحدة ينفﱠذ تحت رعاية مشتركة ويعنى بفيروس نقص المناعة البشري واﻹيدز (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1994/8).
