Having reviewed the activity of the thematic special rapporteurs in relation to the human rights situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo,

6. Invites the thematic special rapporteurs and working groups to include in their annual reports information provided by Governments on follow-up action, as well as their own observations thereon;

Requests the Secretary-General to consider the possibility of convening further periodic meetings of all the thematic special rapporteurs and the chairmen of working groups of the Commission on Human Rights in order to enable them to continue to exchange views, cooperate more closely and make recommendations;
٥١ ـ ترجو من اﻷمين العام أن ينظر في إمكانية عقد المزيد من الاجتماعات الدورية لجميع المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ورؤساء اﻷفرقة العاملة للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان من أجل تمكينهم من مواصلة تبادل وجهات النظر والتعاون على نحو أوثق، وتقديم التوصيات ؛

2. Pursuant to this request, the annex to the present document contains the references to the conclusions and recommendations contained in the reports submitted to the Commission on Human Rights at its fifty-sixth session by the thematic special rapporteurs and working groups.
2- واستجابة لهذا الطلب، ترد في مرفق هذه الوثيقة إشارات مرجعية للاستنتاجات والتوصيات الواردة في التقارير المقدمة من الأفرقة العاملة والمقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة إلى لجنة حقوق الإنسان في دورتها السادسة والخمسين.

Requests the Secretary-General to consider the possibility of convening further meetings of all the thematic special rapporteurs and the chairmen of working groups of the Commission on Human Rights in order to enable them to continue to exchange views, cooperate more closely and make recommendations;
٦١ ـ ترجو من اﻷمين العام أن ينظر في إمكانية عقد المزيد من الاجتماعات لجميع المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ورؤساء اﻷفرقة العاملة للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان من أجل تمكينهم من مواصلة تبادل وجهات النظر والتعاون على نحو أوثق، وتقديم التوصيات ؛

Considering that the pertinent work undertaken by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Human Rights Section of the United Nations Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is complementary to that of the thematic special rapporteurs and must be sufficiently reinforced,
وإذ يعتبر أن العمل ذا الصلة الذي تضطلع به مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان وقسم حقوق الإنسان في بعثة منظمة الأمم المتحدة في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية مكمّل لعمل المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ويجب تعزيزه بصورة كافية،

18. Requests the Secretary-General to consider the possibility of convening further periodic meetings of all the thematic special rapporteurs and the chairmen of working groups of the Commission on Human Rights in order to enable them to continue to exchange views, cooperate and coordinate more closely and make recommendations;
٨١ - ترجو من اﻷمين العام أن ينظر في إمكانية عقد المزيد من الاجتماعات الدورية لجميع المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ورؤساء اﻷفرقة العاملة للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بغية تمكينهم من مواصلة تبادل اﻵراء، والتعاون والتنسيق على نحو أوثق، وتقديم التوصيات؛

Pursuant to this request, the annex to the present document contains the references to the pertinent chapters containing the conclusions and recommendations of the reports submitted to the Commission on Human Rights at its fifty-seventh session by the thematic special rapporteurs and working groups.
2- واستجابة لهذا الطلب، ترد في مرفق هذه الوثيقة إشارات إلى الفصول ذات الصلة التي تتضمن الاستنتاجات والتوصيات الواردة في التقارير المقدمة من المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ومن الأفرقة العاملة إلى لجنة حقوق الإنسان في دورتها السابعة والخمسين.

Furthermore, in paragraph 15 of resolution 1994/53, the Commission on Human Rights requested the Secretary-General to consider the possibility of convening further periodic meetings of all the thematic special rapporteurs and the chairmen of working groups of the Commission on Human Rights in order to enable them to continue to exchange views, cooperate more closely and make recommendations.

(k) Resolution 2002/84 on human rights and thematic procedures, in which the Commission requested the thematic special rapporteurs to make recommendations for the prevention and protection of human rights violations within their respective mandates;
(ك) والقرار 2002/84 بشأن حقوق الإنسان والإجراءات المواضيعية، الذي طلبت اللجنة بموجبه إلى المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة أن يقدموا توصيات من أجل منع انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان وحماية هذه الحقوق في إطار ولاية كل منهم؛

Of importance in this regard is Commission on Human Rights resolution 1998/74, entitled Human rights and thematic procedures, in which the thematic special rapporteurs are requested to make recommendations for the prevention of human rights violations (para. 5 (a)).
وتجدر الإشارة في هذا الصدد إلى قرار لجنة حقوق الإنسان 1998/74 المعنون " حقوق الإنسان والإجراءات المواضيعية " ، الذي طلب فيه على وجه خاص من المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة تقديم توصيات لمنع انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان (الفقرة 5(أ) من المنطوق).

38. To this end, the Office of the High Commissioner would like to recruit - the financial situation permitting - a national human rights coordinator who, working in UNDP premises, would implement the above programmes and collect information on human rights violations for the thematic special rapporteurs and the working groups of the Commission on Human Rights.
38- وتحقيقاً لهذه الغاية، تود المفوضية، اذا سمحت الحالة المالية بذلك، أن تعيَّن منسقاً وطنياً لحقوق الإنسان، يعمل داخل مقر برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، من أجل تنفيذ البرامج المذكورة أعلاه وجمع معلومات بشأن انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان من أجل المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة والتابعين للجنة حقوق الإنسان الأفرقة العاملة التابعة لها.

3. Furthermore, in paragraph 7 of resolution 1997/37, the Commission on Human Rights requested the Secretary-General to consider the possibility of convening further periodic meetings of all the thematic special rapporteurs and the chairpersons of working groups of the Commission on Human Rights in order to enable them to continue to exchange views, cooperate more closely and make recommendations.

Furthermore, in paragraph 18 of resolution 1996/46, the Commission on Human Rights requested the Secretary-General to consider the possibility of convening further periodic meetings of all the thematic special rapporteurs and the chairmen of working groups of the Commission on Human Rights in order to enable them to continue to exchange views, cooperate more closely and make recommendations.
٣- باﻹضافة إلى ذلك رجت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، في الفقرة ٨١ من القرار ٦٩٩١/٦٤، من اﻷمين العام أن ينظر في إمكانية عقد المزيد من الاجتماعات الدورية لجميع المقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ورؤساء اﻷفرقة العاملة للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بغية تمكينهم من مواصلة تبادل اﻵراء والتعاون والتنسيق على نحو أوثق وتقديم التوصيات.

(i) Operative paragraph 13, which read: " Encourages the High Commissioner for Human Rights to continue to strengthen cooperation among the thematic special rapporteurs, representatives, experts and members and chairpersons of working groups of the Commission and other relevant United Nations bodies, including the human rights treaty bodies, as well as to consider ways in which their work can be coordinated; " , was deleted;

17. Decides to consider the question again at its fifty-second session under the agenda item entitled " Question of the violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms in any part of the world, with particular reference to colonial and other dependent countries and territories " , drawing on the reports of the Special Rapporteur and the thematic special rapporteurs and working groups of the Commission on Human Rights.
٧١- تقرر أن تنظر في المسألة مرة أخرى في دورتها الثانية والخمسين في إطار بند جدول اﻷعمال المعنون " مسألة انتهاك حقوق اﻹنسان والحريات اﻷساسية في أي جزء من العالم، مع اﻹشارة بصفة خاصة إلى البلدان واﻷقاليم المستعمرة وغيرها من البلدان واﻷقاليم التابعة " ، وذلك في ضوء تقارير المقرر الخاص والمقررين الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة واﻷفرقة العاملة التابعة للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان.
