Noting, in this regard, the decision of the twenty-fourth Meeting of States Parties to the Convention regarding the conditions of service of the members of the Commission,

In conformity with article 34 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the twenty-fourth Meeting of States Parties to the Covenant will be convened by the Secretary-General at United Nations Headquarters on Tuesday, 8 February 2005, for the purpose of filling one vacancy in the Human Rights Committee.
1- طبقاً للمادة 34 من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية، سيدعو الأمين العام إلى عقد الاجتماع الرابع والعشرين للدول الأطراف في العهد يوم الثلاثاء، 8 شباط/فبراير 2005، في مقر الأمم المتحدة، وذلك لغرض شغل منصب شاغر في اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان.

10. After deliberations, and having reiterated its longstanding views on this issue, the Commission expressed concern as to the fact that the twenty-fourth Meeting of States Parties might only consider the possibility of addressing medical and dental insurance for members of the Commission from developing States.

9. The Commission took note of the decision regarding the conditions of service of the members of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, adopted by the twenty-fourth Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (see SPLOS/276).
٩ - أحاطت اللجنة علما بالمقرر المتخذ بشأن شروط خدمة أعضاء لجنة حدود الجرف القاري في الاجتماع الرابع والعشرين للدول الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار (انظر SPLOS/276).

67. The Commission took note of the information reported by the Chair and, in particular, of the decision of the twenty-fourth Meeting of States Parties (see also paras. 9-12 above).
