Pursuant to the General Assembly resolution 67/195, in January 2013 the Chair of the CSTD invited members of the Commission to provide feedback on his proposed composition of the Working Group on Enhanced cooperation to examine the mandate of the WSIS regarding enhanced cooperation as contained in the Tunis Agenda.

7. Mr. Tawlah (Saudi Arabia) said that his delegation had hoped that the Working Group on Enhanced cooperation would be established in line with the 2005 Tunis Agenda for the Information Society.

56. Brazil welcomed the inputs from the Working Group on Enhanced cooperation established by CSTD; the group's recommendations should also address the need to promote and protect all fundamental human rights, including the right to privacy.

With regard to the review of the World Summit on the Information Society, the recommendations of the Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation should recognize that public policies must uphold the security, transparency and accountability of the Internet and the promotion and protection of all human rights, including the right to privacy.
