1. The relevant definitions of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal shall apply to wastes covered under this Convention for Parties to the Basel Convention.

2. Each State Party may adopt more strict or severe measures than those provided for by this Convention for the prevention and combat of transnational organized crime.
٢- يجوز لكل دولة طرف أن تعتمد تدابير أكثر صرامة أو شدة من التدابير المنصوص عليها في هذه الاتفاقية من أجل منع الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية ومكافحتها.

1. A State party that has received a request from another State party having jurisdiction over an offence covered by this Convention for the confiscation of the proceeds of crime, property, equipment or other instrumentalities referred to in article 22 of this Convention situated in its territory shall, to the greatest extent possible within its domestic legal system:
1 - على الدولة الطرف التي تتلقى طلبا من دولة طرف أخرى لها ولاية قضائية على جرم مشمول بهذه الاتفاقية من أجل مصادرة ما يوجد في إقليمها من عائدات إجرامية أو ممتلكات أو معدات أو أدوات أخرى مشار إليها في المادة 22 من هذه الاتفاقية، أن تقوم، إلى أقصى مدى ممكن في إطار نظامها القانوني الداخلي، بما يلي:

Where a coastal State intends to establish, in accordance with article 76, the outer limits of its continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, it shall submit particulars of such limits to the Commission along with supporting scientific and technical data as soon as possible but in any case within 10 years of the entry into force of this Convention for that State.
حين تنوي دولة ساحلية أن تعين، وفقا للمادة ٧٦، الحدود الخارجية لجرفها القاري وراء ٢٠٠ ميل بحري، عليها تقديم تفاصيل هذه الحدود إلى اللجنة مع البيانات العلمية والتقنية الداعمة في أقرب وقت ممكن، على أن يتم ذلك في أي حال في غضون عشر سنوات من بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة إلى تلك الدولة.

The national action plan shall, no later than one year after the entry into force of this Convention for the Party, be submitted to the Secretariat for distribution to the Parties.
ويجب على الطرف أن يقدِّم خطة عمل وطنية إلى الأمانة، لتعميمها على الأطراف، في موعد لا يتجاوز سنة واحدة بعد بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للطرف.

Eliminate such mining within X years of the date of entry into force of this Convention for it.
(ج) أن ينهي هذا التعدين خلال (X) سنة من تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

2. Each Party shall not allow primary mercury mining that was not being conducted within its territory at the date of entry into force of this Convention for it.
2 - على كل طرف ألاّ يسمح بتعدين زئبق أوّلي لم يكن يجري داخل أراضيه في تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

2. The provisions of this Convention shall not affect the rights and obligations of any Party deriving from a bilateral, regional or international agreement into which it has entered prior to the entry into force of this Convention for it.
٢- لا تؤثر أحكام هذه الاتفاقية على حقوق أي طرف والتزاماته الناشئة عن أي اتفاق ثنائي أو إقليمي أو دولي دخل طرفا فيه قبل بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

2. The provisions of this Convention shall not affect the rights and obligations of any Party deriving from a bilateral, regional or international agreement into which it has entered prior to the entry into force of this Convention for it.
٢ - لا تؤثر أحكام هذه الاتفاقية على حقوق أي طرف والتزاماته الناشئة عن أي اتفاق ثنائي أو إقليمي أو دولي يكون قد دخل طرفا فيه قبل بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

1. Each Party that has artisanal and smallscale gold mining within its territory at the date of entry into force of this Convention for it shall reduce and, where possible, eliminate the use of mercury in such mining.
1 - يجب على كل طرف يوجد في أراضيه تعدين للذهب الحرفي والضيّق النطاق في تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له أن يحدّ، حيثما أمكن، من استخدام الزئبق في التعدين من هذا القبيل وأن ينهيه.

[2. Each Party shall not allow [any] primary mercury mining [that was not being conducted within its territory at the date of entry into force of this Convention for it] [on its territory].]
[2 - على كل طرف ألاّ يسمح بتعدين زئبق أوّلي [لم يكن يجري داخل أراضيه في تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له] [على أراضيه].]

[(ii) For mercury-added products manufactured or already in use before or on the date of entry into force of this Convention for the Party; or]

3. Each State Party may adopt more strict or severe measures than those provided for by this Convention for preventing and combating transnational organized crime.
3- يجوز لكل دولة طرف أن تعتمد تدابير أكثر صرامة أو شدة من التدابير المنصوص عليها في هذه الاتفاقية من أجل منع الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية ومكافحتها.

3. Each State Party may adopt more strict or severe measures than those provided for by this Convention for preventing and combating corruption.
3- يجوز لكل دولة طرف أن تعتمد تدابير أكثر صرامة أو شدة من التدابير المنصوص عليها في هذه الاتفاقية من أجل منع الفساد ومكافحته.

1. A State Party that has received a request from another State Party having jurisdiction over an offence covered by this Convention for confiscation of proceeds of crime, property, equipment or other instrumentalities referred to in article 12, paragraph 1, of this Convention situated in its territory shall, to the greatest extent possible within its domestic legal system:
1- يتعين على الدولة الطرف التي تتلقى طلبا من دولة طرف أخرى لها ولاية قضائية على جرم مشمول بهذه الاتفاقية من أجل مصادرة ما يوجد في إقليمها من عائدات اجرامية أو ممتلكات أو معدات أو أدوات أخرى مشار إليها في الفقرة 1 من المادة 12 من هذه الاتفاقية، أن تقوم الى أقصى حد ممكن في اطار نظامها القانوني الداخلي بما يلي:

1. Pursuant to article 5.1, each State Party " undertakes to destroy or ensure the destruction of all anti-personnel mines in mined areas under its jurisdiction or control, as soon as possible but not later than ten years after the entry into force of this Convention for that State Party " .
1- عملاً بالمادة 5-1، تتعهد كل دولة طرف " بتدمير أو ضمان تدمير كل الألغام المضادة للأفراد في المناطق الملغومة المشمولة بولايتها أو الخاضعة لسيطرتها، في أقرب وقت ممكن، على ألا يتعدى ذلك عشر سنوات من بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية بالنسبة إلى تلك الدولة الطرف " .

(b) Only where the organization has not paid, within a period of six months, any sum agreed or determined to be due as compensation for such damage, may the claimant State invoke the liability of the members which are States Parties to this Convention for the payment of that sum.
(ب) لا يجوز للدولة المطالبة الرجوع على الأعضاء الذين يكونون دولا أطرافا في هذه الاتفاقية للحصول منهم على أيِّ مبلغ اتفق عليه أو تقرر استحقاقه كتعويض عن هذه الأضرار، إلا إذا تخلفت المنظمة عن دفع المبلغ المذكور خلال فترة ستة أشهر.
