A Fund for sustainable management of tropical timber producing forests is hereby established to assist producing members to make the investments necessary to achieve the objective of article 1 (d) of this Agreement.

Members shall, to the fullest extent possible not inconsistent with their national legislation, furnish, within a reasonable time, statistics and information on timber, its trade and the activities aimed at achieving sustainable management of timber producing forests as well as other relevant information as requested by the Council.
1- يقيم المجلس علاقات وثيقة مع المنظمات الحكومية الدولية والحكومية وغير الحكومية المختصة، من أجل المساعدة في ضمان توافر بيانات ومعلومات حديثة وموثوق بها عن تجارة الأخشاب الاستوائية، فضلا عن معلومات ذات صلة عن الأخشاب غير الاستوائية وعن إدارة الغابات المنتجة للأخشاب.

(m) Encouraging members to develop national policies aimed at sustainable utilization and conservation of timber producing forests, and maintaining ecological balance, in the context of the tropical timber trade;
(م) تشجيع الأعضاء على وضع سياسات وطنية تهدف إلى الاستفادة المستدامة من الغابات المنتجة للأخشاب وحفظها وإلى الحفاظ على التوازن الإيكولوجي، في سياق التجارة في الأخشاب الاستوائية؛

(r) Encouraging members to recognize the role of forest-dependent indigenous and local communities in achieving sustainable forest management and develop strategies to enhance the capacity of these communities to sustainably manage tropical timber producing forests; and

As deemed necessary for the operation of this Agreement, the Organization, in cooperation with such organizations, shall compile, collate and, where relevant, publish [such information and analysis.] [statistical information on production, supply, trade, stocks, consumption and market [trends] prices of timber, the extent of timber resources and the management of timber producing forests.]

(f) Steps taken by the National Transitional Government of Liberia to establish full authority and control over the timber producing areas, and to ensure that government revenues from the Liberian timber industry are not used to fuel conflict or otherwise in violation of the Council's resolutions but are used for legitimate purposes for the benefit of the Liberian people, including development;
