35 - تلاحظ الشواغل التي أبديت فيما يتعلق بترتيـبات المراسم الخاصة برئيس الجمعية العامة، وتطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يواصل السعي، في حدود الموارد المتاحة، إلى كفالة توفير خدمات المراسم والأمن المناسبة وما يكفي من حيز المكاتب للرئيس، من أجل تمكينه من الاضطلاع بمهامه على نحو يتناسب وهيبة المكتب ومكانته؛

2. If, in the unanimous opinion of the other members, a member of the Committee has ceased to carry out his or her functions for any cause other than absence of a temporary nature, the Chairperson of the Committee shall notify the Secretary-General, who shall then declare the seat of that member to be vacant.
2- إذا انقطع عضو في اللجنة، بإجماع رأي أعضائها الآخرين، عن الاضطلاع بوظائفه لأي سبب غير الغياب ذي الطابع المؤقت، يُبلغ رئيس اللجنة الأمين العام بذلك، فيعلن الأمين العام حينئذ شغور مقعد ذلك العضو.

2. 2- إذا انقطع عضو في اللجنة، بإجماع رأي أعضائها الآخرين، عن الاضطلاع بوظائفه لأي سبب غير الغياب ذي الطابع المؤقت، يقوم رئيس اللجنة بإبلاغ ذلك إلى الأمين العام، فيعلن الأمين العام حينئذ شغور مقعد ذلك العضو.

If the Chairman ceases to be able to carry out his or her functions or ceases to be a member of the Commission, a new Chairman shall be elected for the remainder of the term.
إذا لم يعد الرئيس قادرا على أداء وظائفه أو لم يعد عضوا في اللجنة، يتم انتخاب رئيس جديد للمدة المتبقية.

In resolution 59/313 and subsequent resolutions on the revitalization of the work of the General Assembly, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to make available to the President adequate office and conference space, as well as proper protocol services, with a view to enabling the President to carry out his or her functions in a manner commensurate with the dignity and stature of the Office.
وقد طلبت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 59/313 وقراراتها اللاحقة المتعلقة بتنشيط عمل الجمعية العامة، إلى الأمين العام أن يوفر لرئيس الجمعية العامة ما يكفي من المكاتب وأماكن الاجتماعات، فضلاً عن تزويده بخدمات مراسم ملائمة، بغية تمكين الرئيس من الاضطلاع بمهامه بما يليق بهيبة ومكانة مكتب الرئيس.
