I have the honour to inform you that the President of Turkmenistan has issued a decree whereby, in view of the completion of the investigation of the terrorist act committed in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on 25 November 2002, the exit permit requirement for citizens of Turkmenistan wishing to travel abroad, temporarily introduced earlier, has been abolished, effective 8 January 2004.
يشرفني أن أبلغ سيادتكم بأن رئيس تركمانستان قد أصدر مرسوما قام بموجبه، في ضوء إكمال التحقيق في الأعمال الإرهابية المرتكبة في أشغابات بتركمانستان في 25 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2002، بإلغاء الشرط المتعلق بضرورة حصول المواطنين الراغبين في السفر إلى الخارج على إذن خروج، وذلك اعتبارا من 8 كانون الثاني/يناير 2004، وهو الإذن الذي كان قد استحدث بصفة مؤقتة في وقت سابق.

2. Turkmenistan has been cooperating with the Eurasian Group on Combating Money-Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism, in line with the presidential decree of November 2007 on Turkmenistan's observer membership in the Group.
2 - وما برحت تركمانستان تتعاون مع المجموعة الأوروبية - الآسيوية المعنية بغسل الأموال وتمويل الإرهاب، وفقا للمرسوم الرئاسي الصادر في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2007، بشأن عضوية تركمانستان بصفة مراقب في المجموعة.

In the light of the present resolution, Turkmenistan has taken additional measures to increase the effectiveness of border controls and control of the issuance of identity and travel documents so as to prevent the movement of terrorist individuals or groups.
