V. Objectives The overall objectives of the UNCCD fellowship Programme are the following:

A number of agencies of the United Nations, intergovernmental organizations and other institutions with the capacity to promote the involvement of scientific institutions in contributing to the implementation of a UNCCD fellowship programme have expressed interest during this biennium in partnering with the UNCCD secretariat on the further development of the UNCCD fellowship programme.
