The Commission intends to pursue vigorously its inspection programme, its verification activities of the FFCDs as outlined in the joint programme of action, including on-site inspections and the conduct of interviews, and to exercise fully its rights, privileges and immunities conferred by the Security Council's resolutions and the Status Agreement of May 1991 between the United Nations and Iraq.
١٦ - تنوي اللجنـة أن تواصـل بشـدة برنامـج التفتيش الـذي تنفـذه، وأنشطة التحقق التي تضطلع بها فيما يتعلق بافصاحات العراق الكاملة والنهائية التامة بصيغتها الواردة في برنامج العمل المشترك، بما في ذلك إجراء عمليات تفتيش في الموقع، وإجراء مقابلات، وأن تمارس بالكامل حقوقها، وامتيازاتها وحصاناتها التي منحتها إياها قرارات مجلس اﻷمن، واتفاق المركز في أيار/مايو ١٩٩١ بين اﻷمم المتحدة والعراق.

Regarding payments for the other categories of claims, following the conclusions of the memorandum of understanding between the United Nations and Iraq regarding the implementation of Security Council resolution 986 (1995) (S/1996/356, annex I), the Council expects to be in a position to pay the first instalments of category " A " claims (claims for departure) and category " C " claims (individual claims for up to $100,000) in the coming months.
