The Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 stated in article 1,
ينص الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان الصادر عام 1948 في مادته الأولى على ما يلي:

99. The Freedoms provided for in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 10 December 1948 are taken into account in the Constitution of Chad.
99- وقد راعى دستور تشاد الحريات المنصوص عليها في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان الصادر في 10 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1948.

It should be borne in mind that the principles of the equal rights of women and men and of non-discrimination on the basis of sex are set forth in the Charter of the United Nations as one of the purposes of the Organization, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948.
وينبغي أن يوضع في الاعتبار أن مبدأ المساواة في الحقوق بين الرجل والمرأة ومبدأ عدم التمييز على أساس نوع الجنس ينص عليهما ميثاق الأمم المتحدة على اعتبارهما من بين أهداف المنظمة، وينص عليهما كذلك الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان الصادر في عام 1948.

That Constitution of the Niger reiterates the commitment of the sovereign people of the Niger to human rights as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and the African Charter of Human and People's Rights of 1981 is a reflection of the embodiment of fundamental human rights principles in the Constitution.

Although the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 did not have the force of law at the time of its adoption, it has none the less exerted some influence on the evolution of contemporary international law since it has been the inspiration for several national constitutions and laws and many of the world's human rights conventions and treaties.
٨- ويلاحظ، من جهة أخرى، أن الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان الصادر في عام ٨٤٩١، حتى ولو لم يكن له وقت اعتماده حكم القانون إلا أنه أثر شيئاً ما في تطور القانون الدولي المعاصر حيث أنه كان مصدر اﻹلهام لعدد من القوانين اﻷساسية والقوانين الوطنية فضلاً عن العديد من الاتفاقيات والمعاهدات الخاصة بحقوق اﻹنسان في العالم.

It should also be borne in mind that the principles of equal rights of men and women and of non-discrimination on the basis of sex are set forth in the Charter of the United Nations as one of its purposes, in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and in various multilateral instruments, to which Thailand, Tunisia and Bangladesh are parties.

56. More generally, article 8 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of December 1948 provides that " [e]veryone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law. "
56 - على مستوى أعم، تنص المادة 8 من الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان الصادر في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1948 على أن " لكل شخص حق اللجوء إلى المحاكم الوطنية المختصة لإنصافه الفعلي من أية أعمال تنتهك الحقوق الأساسية التي يمنحها إياه الدستور أو القانون " .

" Discrimination between human beings on grounds of religion or belief constitutes an affront to human dignity and a disavowal of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations, and shall be condemned as a violation of the human rights and fundamental freedoms proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [of 1948] " .
" التمييز بين البشر على أساس الدين أو المعتقد يشكل إهانة للكرامة الإنسانية وإنكارا لمبادئ ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، ويجب أن يشجب بوصفه انتهاكا لحقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية التي نادى بها الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان (الصادر في عام 1948) " .

They were enshrined in the preamble to the Constitution, which stated that the Mauritanian people were determined to guarantee the principles of democracy as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 10 December 1948 and the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights of 28 July 1981, as well as international conventions to which Mauritania was party.

Reference should be made to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 10 December 1948 and the provisions of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 16 December 1966, which have greatly influenced the principles of international law, as well as constitutions and positive laws.
١- الاشارة الى اﻹعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان المؤرخ في ٠١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٨٤٩١ وإلى أحكام العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية التي أقرتها الجمعية العامة لﻷمم المتحدة في ٦١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٦٦٩١، وذلك لما لهما من تأثير كبير على قواعد القانون الدولي وعلى الدساتير والقوانين الوضعية.

9. The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights contains an important provision, not included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which establishes the right of all peoples to self-determination and to the full and free disposition of their wealth and natural resources (art. 1).
٩- وجدير بالملاحظة أن العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية يحتوي حكماً هاماً لم ينص عليه الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان الصادر في عام ٨٤٩١، ألا وهو الحكم الذي يقضي بأن لجميع الشعوب حقاً في تقرير مصيرها بنفسها وفي التصرف بثرواتها ومواردها الطبيعية والاستفادة منها على أتم وجه )المادة ١(.
