The group also expressed concern about the relationship between article 14 of the Organized Crime Convention, on disposal of confiscated proceeds of crime, and chapter V of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, focusing in particular on how States parties to both Conventions should deal with their implementation.

Portugal suggested that tools and training manuals could be developed in the field of asset recovery and return, in order to identify existing difficulties and facilitate the approval of cooperation mechanisms between Member States, with the aim of complying with chapter V of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
32- واقترحت البرتغال وضع أدوات وأدلة تدريبية في مجال استرداد الموجودات وإعادتها، من أجل تحديد الصعوبات القائمة وتيسير اعتماد آليات التعاون بين الدول الأعضاء، بغية الامتثال للفصل الخامس من اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد.

The Secretary of the Conference reiterated the innovative and unprecedented nature of the provisions of chapter V of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which provided States parties with tools to fight corruption but also presented a number of challenges for the full implementation of the Convention.
20- وأكد أمين المؤتمر مجدداً الطابع المبتكر غير المسبوق لأحكام الفصل الخامس من اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد() التي زودت الدول الأطراف بأدوات لمكافحة الفساد، ولكن تنفيذها الكامل يطرح أيضاً عدداً من التحديات.

46. Encourages States parties to make widely available information on their legal frameworks and procedures with regard to asset recovery under chapter V of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, in a practical guide or other format designed to facilitate use by other States, and to consider, where advisable, the publication of that information in other languages;

The Working Group on Asset Recovery at its fourth meeting held in December 2010, stressed the importance of preparing States parties for the review of implementation of Chapter V of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (the Convention) which would be reviewed during the second cycle of the Implementation Review Mechanism and wished to structure its work accordingly.
