100. With regard to the activities of TNCs in general, the Lima Declaration and Plan of Action on Industrial Development and Cooperation adopted at the Second General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in 1975 provides that developed countries should cooperate in ensuring that the activities of TNCs are in keeping with the economic and social objectives of the developing countries in which they operate.
٠٠١- وفيما يتعلق بأنشطة الشركات عبر الوطنية بوجه عام، يقضي إعلان وخطة عمل ليما بشأن التنمية والتعاون في الميدان الصناعي اللذان اعتمدهما المؤتمر العام الثاني لمنظمة اﻷمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية في ٥٧٩١، بأنه يتعين على البلدان المتقدمة أن تتعاون على ضمان أن تتمشى أنشطة الشركات عبر الوطنية مع اﻷهداف الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للبلدان النامية التي تعمل فيها.

)ج( تقديم توصيات ومقترحات تهدف الى القيام، على المستويات الوطنية واﻹقليمية والدولية، بتنظيم أساليب عمل الشركات عبر الوطنية وأنشطتها من أجل ضمان أن تكون هذه اﻷساليب واﻷنشطة متوافقة مع اﻷهداف الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للبلدان التي تعمل فيها هذه الشركات، وتعزيز الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية والحق في التنمية؛

(d) To make recommendations and proposals relating to the methods of work and activities of transnational corporations in order to ensure that such methods and activities are in keeping with the economic and social objectives of the countries in which they operate, and to promote the enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights and the right to development, as well as of civil and political rights;
)د( وضع توصيات ومقترحات تتعلق بأساليب عمل الشركات عبر الوطنية وأنشطتها، من أجل ضمان تمشي هذه اﻷساليب واﻷنشطة مع اﻷهداف الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للبلدان التي تعمل فيها هذه الشركات، ومن أجل تعزيز التمتع بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية وبالحق في التنمية، فضلاً عن التمتع بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية؛
